One of the most tedious, yet important parts of being a real estate agent is keeping up with your email inbox. From answering questions to checking the status of documents to saving and storing contracts, it’s an inbox heavy load - and productivity matters.

For real estate teams, managing emails and files can be the difference between closing or worse, losing deals. Moreover, the more efficiently you manage your day to day correspondence the more time you have to take on new clients and grow your business. Cha-ching!

Fortunately, for GSuite users, there are ways to add super powers (most for free) to your Google account using Chrome extensions.

With more than 180,000 Chrome extensions in the web store, it’s hard to know where to start, but we’ve got you covered.

These seven chrome extensions are some of the best around for saving time and staying on task in real estate.

Docusign

Rather than continue checking your email or occasionally logging to the docusign app, the ticker will update you as needed. You can also view in progress documents to see where there’s a hold up and add a reminder to push a document forward. You can even send a new document for signature. This extension requires you to have a docusign account, but if you do, it’s free.

Save to Google Drive

For many Agents, Google Drive is a huge part of transaction management and listing management.  Save to Google Drive is a quick and easy way to add documents to drive without having to download them to your computer first.  You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can even save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action or as a PDF from the Chrome Print menu

If you experience this common pain, take this chrome extension for a test drive and don’t look back.  Small PDF allows you to edit, convert, merge, split, rotate and compress PDF files right from your browser.

Desktop for Instagram

Keeping your social media content flowing is a big enough chore without technology obstacles getting in your way. Instagram is one of the trickier platforms, especially when it comes to uploading home photos since it’s only accessible on mobile devices. Enter, Desktop for Instagram. With this handy extension, you can access all of the mobile features right from you computer and skip the step of downloading all your photos to your camera roll before posting them.

Grammarly

Rushing to respond to messages on time inevitably results in misspellings and grammatical errors, but what basic spell check tools miss are grammatical errors and tone/sentiment of the message. Grammarly offers quick suggestions for simplifying your message as well as ways to strike a more friendly tone - helping you look like a clear communicator with a can-do attitude even when you’re burnt out or in a rush.

The time it will take to add at least one of these free Google extensions for real estate is a small fraction of the time each one of them can save you. Looking to save even more time? Consider streamlining your transaction management with an automated real estate transaction and task manager like Shaker.
